Spot - August 15

One day late. This little doe surprised me.

Stuart is dad. He's my show buck who has since moved on to a new home. :)

Four kits. looks like two castors, and two I don't know yets. :) One is quite pale and the other is a middlin' colour so perhaps an opal?

looks castor in shading but is more of a coppery colour
nice tempered kit, calm yet curious...just what I breed for.

Opal - busy busy kit. Hard to take a pic of this one.

Bigger of two opals - calm, quiet kit, a lot like mom.

An orangey coloured kit - very curious, precocious kit.

Rainbow - August 15

Rainbow has given us four multi coloured pups.

Rainbow is my son's guinea pig and his response to them was "can I hold them?" He'll be given holding rights on all these piggies. :)

Star - August 13 and 14

One singleton kit, newly born found on the wire at 730 p.m.

Fostered to Kinnie, it is a rather small kit.

August 14 came into the tent to see Star frantically making a nest. Makes me wonder if more kits are on the way.

August 14, seven more kits born. One DOA (very tiny). So six kits. Helped her make a better nest (not one made out of corn) :)

Bonus...at this point she's not as nasty as she was last litter. YEAH!!!!!

Star is looking a bit rough - August 15, lost four of her kits. Fostered out the remaining two that she had with her to Kinnie. Moved the kits that Kinnie was fostering for Carrie back their own momma.

Kinnie - August 11, 2009

Kindles one day late.

four kits, three DOA. Two were too large, one normal sized.

Had one surviving youngster...a chocolate from first look.

So is raising the survivor plus 3 of Carrie's.

dad was a small breed short stay buck.

Carrie Kindles - August 10

I expected this girlie to come in a day early as her momma always did, but miss Carrie decided to wait all the way until her due date.

Yesterday was so hot, she looked VERY uncomfortable.

This morning I was greeted by a much happier looking rabbit.

Eight kits in the nest box. Built a nice nest. I'll need to monitor that they don't get too hot.

Looks like a might have a tricolour in there too! :) That and some Vienna marked kits, might be black in there as well. Time will tell.

Proves full well that Speckles works! YEAH!!! I finally have a breeding mini rex buck!!!!! :)
