Bunny! kindles - August 24, 2009

Six kits born on the wire because well....fellow who cared for my bunnies while I was on holidays told me the wrong due date for kindling.

Look to be two dark, four greys or opals.

I'm pleased. She tried hard to make a nest, the kits were mostly warm yet. I'm glad I had extra fur for helping to rebuild her nest. :)

Gold Rush the daddy.

third one is is marked like an opal, but the colouring is off so not sure what it is.
one on the far end MIGHT be a chestnut, could also be a gold tipped black or something....

6 kits.

I suspect they will all be opals. 3 selfs, 1 self with a light tummy, and two brokens.

Not sure on date. Was starting to think hadn't caught, went to clean out nest box, found one kit buried way in the back corner.

Changed out Nest Boxes

Changed out the nest boxes for Lela and Bunny! today.

Baby buns are doing well. Bunny has two that have slightly sticky eyes. That should clear though now that the nests have been changed out.

Bunny is raising one of Lela's - a pointed one - as it was losing ground against the other five. Now both momma's are raising five. The pointed is looking better already.

Bunny has birthed four opals - two solid, two brokens.

Lela has birthed a real hodge-podge. One is a broken of unknown colour to me - very light colouration, two are pointeds, and the other three are broken - chestnut? and 2 opal/blue?

Four plump kits.

Look to be all opals, mostly all brokens.

Just born at 1245 p.m. (bunny! was still making her nest up when I peeked in).
This girlie surprised me as she wasn't acting pregnant at all, so I'm quite pleased.

First ever litter for Mr. Wiggins my tiny Holland Lop buck.
