Slip is one of my favourite does. Bred her to a couple different holland lop bucks. Got a bit of a mixed bag for offspring. :)

Mind you.. the doe she was back up for didn't kindle so that was a bit silly of me. :)

This litter is a mixed bag of parentage. Some nz cross, some holland lop cross, others harlequin. Not sure who all is which. The kits are all varied in personality which is interesting to see.

Peek-a-mommy - kindles October 10, 2011

7 kits, two found on the wire.

Only one was cold though, so warmed him up.

Peek fed her litter after I changed out the dirty stuff and made her a better nest.

Bug is dad.

Dazzle's Own (D) - kindles September 12, 2011

seven kits born.

This litter is a mixed breeding, trying to determine if the problem is D with bad teeth or just what is going on with her litters.

Dad...Risky, Blaze, and Bug.

We'll see what comes out of these kits.

So far they all look good, nice-sized, all have harlequin markings. Most seem to be black or blue.

Dolly - kindles March 15, 2011

Her second litter.

Bred to Random since she wanted to breed BUT wanted the buck to do all the work and only Random was heavy enough to push her flat. Once flat, she was very cooperative.

So this is a mixed breed litter, Seven kits born. All look to be magpie or jap in colouration.

Kits will be $10 when old enough to leave home.

They are holland lop x harlequin.

Dad is Bug... he's a first time daddy.

Kits look an interesting mix of white and harlequin marked.

They are a mixed meat breed.

Ten popples born.

Popples is a term of endearment for kits used by various rabbit breeders. it's a term started by folks at homesteadingtoday.com.

Look to be all black, may contain surprises.

at five days post birth looks like some chinchilla or chestnuts may be showing up in the litter!

Carmen - March 9, 2009 kindles

Carmen had 10 babies 2 days early. One DOA.

New New Easter - January 10, 2009

A first litter for New New Easter.
This red new zealand is my son's bunny.
She's a good rabbit.

Had five babies (I think).
Dad is Red, my previous harlequin buck.

She built a good nest.
She's a bit of a nervous momma but thus far is doing a good job raising them.

I may or may not keep a doe from this litter. :)

looks like three magpies and two japanese babies. I'll need to take pics but one of them I'm quite intrigued by. :) that's the fun with harle's....you never know quite what you'll get in the nest box. :)

Little Miss - kindles Sept 3, 2008

she has one buck, one doe. will be keeping one of them.
these are very sweet happy buns.
people focused and quiet.

Halcyon (holland lop that we sold as we thought he was a non-breeder) decided to make an escape attempt through the barrier between him and what he thought was freedom but was actually Little Miss's home.

On September 3rd we had the result of such meeting.
Three babies.

I had not intended that Little Miss become a momma yet, in my eyes she's a little young, but so far she seems to be doing a good job.

They look like, at two days old, that they will all be tort's (just like mom). I was hoping for a seal point like Halcyon but will happily take what I can get as long as they are healthy and happy babies. :)

Dixie Kindles - August 29, 2008

Not exactly sure what day this little one was born. Guessing two days later than Midnight based on the size of the baby. Will know more when eyes open. :)

It's a singleton, dark with a white belly.

Dad is Tinker. Tiny Holland Lop.
Mom is Dixie. Mid-size Netherland Dwarf.

I'm happy! She's a first time mom. She did well being partnered with Tinker for two weeks. She's a delightful young rabbit, I hope her baby is the same. :)

Midnight Kindles - August 27, 2008

Midnight has babies!

Came home from camping with the delightful surprise of Midnight having had babies! :)

Mom says she had nine but one was dead this morning. So we have four harlequins and four solid blacks. Red is a dad! :) Yeah! He's now a proven boy. :)

Looking forward to seeing these littles grow up.

Roxie Kindles - June 6, 2008

Roxie has kindled. I was shocked, I expected Cookie to kindle, not Roxie. But hum... surprises happen! :)

She has 6-7 babies, at least 2 dark, one torti, probably one or two seal points, and one broken back. Had them in a nice nest right on the wire (rejected the nesting box). This should prove cooler for the babies anyways.

Proves Halcyon a breeder which is good to know.

Sweetheart's babies

I am so inordinately proud of this girl.
First litter. My own breeding! :) Did everything right. Her babies are nice, though skittish like rexes (must be their grandma's influence coming through).

Sweetheart is half rex and half small buck given to me.
Sire is Lop Hop.

Buttons - May 26, 2008 Kindling

three days old

6-7 babies, look to be mostly all broken blacks (if not all).

She is an almost pure mini-rex.

Bred to Rascal (Lionhead), hopefully she'll do well as a first time mommy. She's built a nest well, hasn't pulled a whole lot of fur but it's not that cold out either.





She did well and her babies sold quickly. Little fluff balls. :)

Miffy has a Singleton - May 22, 2008

MIffy has a singleton kit. Born My 22, 2008.

She's a first time mom. the baby looks much like I thought it would. very dutchie in appearance and build. It's growing well.

i was a bit worried about this little one for a while, had odd stuff attached to it. As it's grown the odd stuff has disappeared and the baby seems just fine. Growing well, and doing the normal "I'm a dutchie and you've picked me up growling". Silly bunnies.

Hopefully she'll raise it well. :)
