Shine

This girlie was due September 8 to Simon.

She laboured overnight, ended up with one large dead kit late september 9.

She still didn't look right and had Major mega attitude, so September 10 kicked her out on grass in a double ex-pen for lots of exercise. In the early evening she delivered another very large kit and one normal sized kit, both DOA. Once delivered her mega attitude disappeared. Hopefully to resume being a normal attitudinal doe.

had three more DOA kits overnight of September 10.

This would have been a good sized litter for this young doe. We'll give her another shot with a smaller breed buck and see how that works for her.

Temperance - September 3

Ten popples born.

Popples is a term of endearment for kits used by various rabbit breeders. it's a term started by folks at homesteadingtoday.com.

Look to be all black, may contain surprises.

at five days post birth looks like some chinchilla or chestnuts may be showing up in the litter!

New New Easter - August 24, 2009

After three failed attempts with Timer (now deceased) we have a successful litter through Simon.

YEAH!!!!

Simon is Dad.

NN Easter is a New Zealand Red.

9 kits alive, two DOA.

A whole range of colours! harlequins for the most part of colouring, japanese and magpies.

Bunny! kindles - August 24, 2009

Six kits born on the wire because well....fellow who cared for my bunnies while I was on holidays told me the wrong due date for kindling.

Look to be two dark, four greys or opals.

I'm pleased. She tried hard to make a nest, the kits were mostly warm yet. I'm glad I had extra fur for helping to rebuild her nest. :)

Gold Rush the daddy.

third one is is marked like an opal, but the colouring is off so not sure what it is.
one on the far end MIGHT be a chestnut, could also be a gold tipped black or something....

Spot - August 15

One day late. This little doe surprised me.

Stuart is dad. He's my show buck who has since moved on to a new home. :)

Four kits. looks like two castors, and two I don't know yets. :) One is quite pale and the other is a middlin' colour so perhaps an opal?

looks castor in shading but is more of a coppery colour
nice tempered kit, calm yet curious...just what I breed for.

Opal - busy busy kit. Hard to take a pic of this one.

Bigger of two opals - calm, quiet kit, a lot like mom.

An orangey coloured kit - very curious, precocious kit.

Rainbow - August 15

Rainbow has given us four multi coloured pups.

Rainbow is my son's guinea pig and his response to them was "can I hold them?" He'll be given holding rights on all these piggies. :)
