Betty gave me a chocolate rex in exchange for a mini lop and I bought a magpie rex for $10 from her as well. Two new babies does in my household. Stomper (May 2008) and Kinnie (June 2008).
I've four that will be going out within the next 6 weeks. So I'll have room for them. Ruby, New Girl, Ebony and Ivory will be going elsewhere, possibly Sweetheart as well, we'll have to see about her. I'm also going to get rid of one of my bucks at some point. I don't need five bucks in a small rabbitry. :)
Three youngsters to find new homes on Thursday. Two lops and one mini lop/rex cross. Then I'll be dividing up girls and boys into different cages and going on from there. Oh, and some of the growers are about finished growing as well.

Mice - Radcliffe Junior is a dad - July 21
Radcliffe Junior is a dad.
Doesn't seem to be the killer boy mouse that his brother was. YEAH!!!!!
The 12-15 or so babies I saw yesterday don't seem to decreased in number which is way cool. Not all the momma's have had their babies yet though so it will be interesting to see what all comes about.
I'll be penning him separately fairly soon though. Just need to get it well scrubbed out for him again. :)

Ruby came to me from a local town.
Mini-lop, broken black girl. Had some attitude when she came. Bit me once, I'm careful with her now but she's settling down the longer I have her.
She's given us a litter of five babies. Lop-Hop is the dad.
One black (I think), and four brokens.
They are quite small but at this moment in time seem to be doing okay.

Ebony - July 16, 2008
A total surprise litter.
Did not expect littles from this small black girl, especially as her sister is bigger and more mature and SHE didn't get pregnant.
I suspect mini-rex Lincoln is the daddy as the babies act like full rex babies...very poppy in the nest box. I didn't think that she just was that close to maturity yet.
Anyways, she has four babies. Three blacks and one castor.

New Doe - July 3, 2008
So I picked up this new doe yesterday. She has ear mites. BUT she has babies. She had them the morning before I picked them up. I was somewhat skeptical that she would continue to care for them, but she is! Has four babies. White and spotty.
Her cage mate isn't looking too very good and has ear mites as well.
I'll need to give them both a good dosing with baby oil to help fight those mites.
